Progressive Prodigy makes working with one-shots simple and creative. Drag and drop your own kick, snare, or tom samples directly into the instrument. Each one-shot can be shaped and routed however you need, so whether you’re reinforcing a mix or experimenting with new textures, the process feels natural and seamless.

The Envelopes page gives you precise control over the feel of every hit. Shape the sustain and punch of the kit — from tight and snappy to big and open — with simple Attack, Hold, and Release adjustments. The same controls apply to your custom one-shots, so every sound, whether built-in or loaded, can sit naturally in your mix.

The built-in Groove Player is designed to keep your ideas moving. With over 200 grooves and fills performed by Simen, you can browse, preview, and drag patterns directly into your DAW. The Player
At the heart of Progressive Prodigy is Simen Sandnes’ unique style — fluid, energetic, and full of personality. Every strike was carefully captured to carry the character of his playing, giving the library a natural feel that goes beyond samples. His dynamic touch and raw energy are baked into the instrument, so when you write with it, the drums respond with the same life and authenticity he brings to the kit.
The Studio
Simen teamed up with producer Jakob Herrmann at Top Floor Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden, during one of their many sessions together. Recorded in the studio’s renowned live room through Jakob’s world-class signal chain, the sessions captured the depth and character of the kit exactly as it was meant to be heard. It’s a sound that reflects Simen’s vision — organic, natural, and ready to sit at the heart of your music.
